Project description

"Ukraine and Ukrainians" is an art album with a volume of 130 sheets, which includes photographs, sketches by Ivan Honchar and the author's artistic font for the texts. In this way, museum workers, creative personalities, art managers and scientists want to present Ukrainian cultural heritage and visualized historical memory to the world. The publication presents all regions of Ukraine, but the greatest attention is paid to those areas that were most affected by the humanitarian and man-made disasters of the last century, as well as the destruction of the current Russian-Ukrainian war.

The art album is created in the popular science genre. Its authors and partners address both Ukrainian and international audiences.

The album is pivotal for the active part of Ukrainian society, everyone who is now ready to research their lineage and preserve its memory, protect the culture and history of the Ukrainian people. It is also published for modern Ukrainian ethnologists, anthropologists, folklorists, museologists, culturologists and artists.

In the international arena, the publication works as a powerful tool of cultural diplomacy of Ukraine. It is an image statement that will present the state both at the level of official events, protocol meetings, and in the soft power format, at various platforms, as a start to a deeper and thorough dialogue about Ukraine.
